Design Discussion:
I was tasked with developing an interactive FAQ-cum-KnowledgeBase. It
would be launched as a pop-up window from an intranet home page, and would
be both "straight-forward" and "easy to use."
The predominant color of the intranet is the orange-yellow of (more), with the light brown a significant portion of the company's signature image.
Rejection Rationale:
After this design had been approved, the idea of a knowledgebase was scrapped
in favor of a traditional FAQ that would be entirely under the control
of a designated content manager.
A current mechanism (a threaded message board) would continue to support those sort of networking or non-official policy questions.
