The thorny overall
navigation and sizing issues was considered on my commute down Route 7.
As usual, there was great moral support from Diana George.
Pru Huddleston at the Tandem School
assigned the project that had the thirteen year old me copying Cezanne. A fabulous studio and
history of art teacher, Pru was the first person who made me feel like I had real artistic
talent. A "yes" from Pru was enough to make me practically turn handstands.
Similarly, I learned to write about art at Smith College,
and although this endeavor is atraditional writing, the way that I look at and view art is tremendously
influenced by my Smith education.
This cluster was designed largely while listening to Aretha Franklin,
Dinah Washington, Trisha Yearwood, and Maura O'Connell.
